Searching for Research Evidence in Public Health is designed for public health practitioners, health librarians, program managers/directors and staff responsible for finding good quality research evidence to support decisions about public health programs or services. This module provides the knowledge needed to quickly and efficiently search for relevant pre-processed and pre-appraised public health research evidence to guide decision making.

This training is part of the Canadian National Collaborating Center for Methods and Tools' suite of 5 online courses to support the process of evidence-informed public health (Quantitative Research Designs 101: Addressing Practice-Based Issues in Public Health; Introduction to Evidence-Informed Decision Making; Searching for Research Evidence in Public Health; Critical Appraisal of Systematic Reviews; and Critical Appraisal of Intervention Studies).
