Developed by:

Lindsey King, PhD, MPH, CHES®, CCRP, CTTS - Clinical Assistant Professor, College of Public Health and Health Professions, University of Florida

Brittney Dixon, PhD, MPH, CPH, TTS - Clinical Assistant Professor, College of Public Health and Health Professions, University of Florida

Using ATMCH Innovative Teaching Award (ITA) funds, a team comprised of two University of Florida (UF) public Health faculty and three UF public health students developed a new course focused on adverse childhood experiences, trauma, racism, and resilience within Maternal and Child Health (MCH). This innovative, transdisciplinary course addresses significant gaps as well as health disparities in MCH and helps train future MCH leaders in developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions in collaboration with communities.
